Binary Gas-phase Diffusity

Stefan (Arnold) Cell Here, we see the Stefan (Arnold) Cell used to determine the binary gas-phase molecular diffusivity of toluene and air. Students make use of Fick's law and quasi- steady-state diffusion analysis. They are also expected to estimate the accuracy and precision of the determination of the diffusivity.
